Black Dragons—also known as Skull Dragons—are among the most malevolent and cruel of the chromatic dragons. They dwell in fetid swamps, rotting forests, and crumbling ruins, where stagnant water and twisted trees mirror their corrupt nature. Their scales are glossy black with a slick, almost wet sheen, helping them blend into murky waters and shadows. Jagged horns sweep back from their skull-like faces, and their eyes gleam with cold intelligence and spite.

Black Dragons breathe a deadly line of corrosive acid capable of melting armor, stone, and flesh alike. Unlike some dragons who rule through fear and grandeur, black dragons delight in psychological torment, preferring to stalk, ambush, and slowly break their prey. They are highly territorial and paranoid, hoarding treasure in submerged lairs filled with skeletal remains and dissolved relics.

As they age—from wyrmlings to ancient dragons—their cunning and cruelty intensify. Ancient black dragons become master schemers, manipulating nearby settlements or creatures to serve as pawns in their twisted games. In a campaign, they make terrifying villains, combining brute force with sadistic intelligence and mastery of swampy terrain.

This model was sculpted by the masters at Rescale Miniatures and is part of the Conclave of Bones campaign.  

 

The boss comes in 3 different sizes and 3 different stances

75mm Base (Huge - Adult): The standard "Adult Dragon" size for D&D 5e.

100mm Base (Gargantuan - Ancient): Represents an "Ancient" Silver Dragon, dominating the battlefield.

130mm Base (Colossal - Great Wyrm): A terrifying, table-covering deity of frost and justice.

 

For our resin prints we use the best high quality mix for our models.  This model will come in pieces with the supports removed as best we could.  Some minor clean up might be needed for the model as you are putting your masterpiece together.  Please Note that all our models come unpainted even if the picture shows the item painted.
